Seeking feedback on your course policy regarding late work, attendance, and more? Need help determining when to offer flexibility to support the students who need it? Want advice on how to tweak your existing policies so that it reduces stress for you and your students?
Get student perspectives on your teaching practices and policies! In this session, a panel of undergraduate students will briefly share some compassionate teaching practices and policies that has help them thrive in their classes. Then, the students will work with you in small groups to give feedback on your course policy. They will provide perspectives on potential student needs and help you identify policy ideas that can better support students in your class. You will be expected to bring a syllabus, handouts, or slides that outline a specific policy from a course.
A zoom link and reminder will be sent one day before the workshop. For questions about this faculty session, please contact Dr. Sally Wu at firstname.lastname@example.org.
