New Staff Profile: Carmel Braga, Classroom Services

What are your responsibilities at The Center for Teaching and Learning?

I provide administrative support for Kaltura Video Solutions as well as work with the rest of the classroom-support team to provide training, on-call technical support and classroom maintenance for instructors teaching in University-managed classrooms.

What drew you to the position?

I had previous experience with User Support and it was something I really liked doing because I love helping people and working with technology.

What are you looking forward to as a computer specialist at the CTL?

I’m looking forward to learning and experimenting with new hardware and technologies.

What is your education and work background? How did it prepare you for this role?

I graduated from University of Missouri in May 2020 with a B.S. in Information Technology, a certificate in Cybersecurity and minors in Computer Science and Film Production.

I provided User Support for Ellis Library at University of Missouri as well as worked as an IT assistant at their IT center. Apart from that, I have had served as a Data Analyst/Specialist and Software Developer in other work positions/internships.

What is your favorite place to eat in St. Louis?


What are some of your favorite St. Louis destinations?

The Loop, Forest Park, and The City Museum.

What is a fun fact about you?

I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
