Applications open for AY2024-2025 Learning Center Graduate Fellows

The Center for Teaching and Learning advances WashU’s mission of educational excellence by supporting a diverse community of teachers and learners. As part of the CTL’s mission, the Learning Center strives to improve students’ learning outcomes, normalize help-seeking behavior, and foster self-directed learning through a variety of academic support programs and resources.

To this end, the Learning Center is seeking to hire graduate-level students who will extend our current work supporting students’ academic skills development. Opportunities within this fellowship include providing appointment-based and drop-in academic coaching to WashU students; designing and co-facilitating workshops/virtual conversations; and developing academic skills resources. Fellows will meet regularly with Learning Center staff members, who will serve as mentors and provide academic coach training alongside other professional development opportunities.

As part of a new initiative for the Learning Center, the inaugural cohort of fellows will play a pivotal role in the development and future trajectory of the program.
