Graduate students who are serving as assistants in instruction for the first time in Fall 2022 or Spring 2023 are required to complete the annual University-Wide, Graduate Student Mentored Teaching Orientation. During the week of August 22nd, the Graduate Student Mentored Teaching Orientation program will provide graduate students the opportunity to learn about university policies and procedures for university teaching as well as attend a Foundations in Teaching (FIT) workshop. Overall, graduate students will discover: Policies related to Title IX, student wellness, emergency preparedness, as well as about how to access other key campus resources. Effective approaches for creating and maintaining a safe, fair, inclusive learning environment.
