Kat Weir, MA

Program Coordinator II

How Can I Help

By managing engagement efforts, I help bring the Center for Teaching and Learning’s community to life by connecting people, programs, and ideas across campus. I manage engagement and communication efforts, develop events and initiatives that foster collaboration, and serve as a liaison to campus and community partners. My goal is to make the CTL a welcoming hub where educators and learners feel supported, inspired, and connected.

Bio

Kat Weir, MA (she/her) joined the Center for Teaching and Learning in early 2022. With prior experience at WashU in University Advancement and a Master’s in Nonprofit Management from CAPS, Kat brings a versatile background spanning education, event management, and organizational development. Her creative energy and commitment to connection through education drive her work to strengthen relationships across campus and support a vibrant academic community.

Kat leads initiatives that enhance the CTL’s visibility, partnerships, and campus engagement. She produces communications, events, and faculty/staff/student development efforts across all divisions of the Center, ensuring that each program is strategic, inclusive, and aligned with the university’s mission. Proud to be the CTL’s head cheerleader and resident “fixer,” Kat combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, keeping complex projects on track and turning big ideas into impactful reality.

Beyond her work with the CTL, Kat proudly serves WashU on the Danforth Staff Council, where she advocates for staff-specific concerns across the university. She’s also working steadily toward her Doctor of Education degree (exp. 2028!), specializing in Character Development, Social Emotional Learning, and Leadership in Higher Education.

When she’s not at work, Kat can be found being just a little too competitive at trivia nights, belting out showtunes, or planning the next road trip adventure with her family and friends.
