How Do We Address White Supremacy on Campus?
October 5, 2017
5:00-6:00 pm
Suite 330 Danforth University Center
The Center for Diversity & Inclusion and The Teaching Center invite Washington University students, faculty, and staff to participate in a community discussion about addressing white supremacy on campus.
From violent confrontations in Charlottesville to the recent appearance of hate-group recruitment posters on this and other campuses, organized white supremacy groups are once again moving into American public life. How do we respond?
Professor David Cunningham (Sociology), author of Klansville, U.S.A.: The Rise and Fall of the Civil Rights-Era KKK, will offer insight into this political moment. After a short research talk, we will workshop response strategies.
