AI Curriculum Corps
Resources and support to integrate Gen AI into the curriculum
Program Description
The AI Curriculum Corps will provide faculty with resources and support for the meaningful integration of generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) into the curriculum. Faculty will be guided through the design process by expert faculty developers from the Center for Teaching and Learning, software developers from the Digital Intelligence and Innovation Accelerator (DI2), technologists from Information Technology, and information scientists from the University Library. Student partners will provide valuable feedback throughout the iterative process and faculty will have access to advanced AI tools, such as Gemini Pro, Chat GPT, and Gateway AI, to support their development. Additionally, faculty participants will be awarded a stipend for their work.
The AI Curriculum Corps includes two tiers for participation. Following either experience, faculty will have the opportunity to serve as a mentor to future Curriculum Corps participants for an additional stipend.
Tier 1
Tier 1 will focus on creating or revising a summative assignment that meaningfully integrates AI into the student workflow. Faculty will leave this experience with an assignment that has been reviewed by the CTL, peers, and students and is ready to deploy in the next iteration of their course. Tier 1 will meet in person mornings during the week of May 18 – 22 and for a check-in during the Fall 2026 semester.
Tier 2
Tier 2 of the Curriculum Corps will focus on creating or revising the curriculum of an entire course. Faculty will leave this experience with a Syllabus ready to present to their program’s respective Curriculum Committee. Learning objectives and assessments will be reviewed by the CTL, peers, and students so that they are ready to deploy during Spring or Fall 2027. Tier 2 will meet in person mornings during the week June 1 – 5 and for three virtual sessions (July 10, July 31, and August 14). A final check-in will take place in person during the Fall 2026 semester.
Applications are due for both tiers by March 30 and selected participants will be announced April 15.
