Event Description
Students are asked to comment on their instructor’s teaching effectiveness, typically at the end of a course, which does not allow you to address any of their comments. We will start with a brief discussion of the limitations of this model, then spend the bulk of our time together exploring examples of short surveys you can use to gather feedback about your teaching during a course. We will consider design suggestions for wording of questions, survey length and deployment using EdTech tools. You will leave with some templates for feedback forms you can modify for your courses after reflecting on how you can use collected feedback to address concerns within a given course and as evidence of your teaching practices.
For questions about this event, please contact Lisa Kuehne.
