Event Description

Much ink has been spilled about genAI and learning, but the research is still very much in flux. Each month, the journal club* on AI in education will discuss 1-2 research articles on genAI as it connects to teaching and learning. You are welcome to join whenever you can – whether once or every month! This event is co-organized by the Center for Teaching and Learning and the WashU Medicine Academy of Educators, and meetings will rotate between the Medical and Danforth campuses. We warmly welcome suggestions for articles to discuss, as well as volunteers to guide the discussion. You’re also welcome to bring your own brown-bag lunch if you’d like.

* To those not familiar with the term, a journal club is a gathering of scholars to discuss recently published academic papers. You’re not expected to have field-specific expertise on the articles’ focus – we’ll all contribute our perspectives and develop a fuller understanding in the process.
