Event Description

Join us to see how collaborative annotation can help deepen student engagement with assigned readings. In this workshop, we’ll explore Hypothes.is—a tool that creates an interactive layer over webpages, PDFs, and images. Fully integrated with Canvas, Hypothes.is allows for sentence-level annotation, collaborative discussion, and critical analysis directly on assigned texts. You’ll see examples of how teachers are using annotation-powered reading to foster student engagment and critical thinking skills, and you’ll leave with practical strategies for implementing Hypothes.is in your own course. This session will be co-facilitated by Jessica George, Customer Success Manager for Hypothes.is.
