Introduction to Teaching and AI

Facilitator:

Dr. Anna Cunningham, Assistant Director for Teaching Innovation

  • 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
  • Danforth Campus
  • This event will be held in-person

Event Description

Curious about how generative AI can enhance your teaching practice? Join us for an interactive workshop designed to demystify AI and large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT. We’ll introduce key AI concepts, explore how LLMs work, and examine their capabilities and limitations in an educational context. You’ll get hands-on experience with tools like WashU’s own instance of ChatGPT and BoodleBox, learn how to craft effective prompts, and revisit Bloom’s Taxonomy through the lens of generative AI.

This session is appropriate for anyone, regardless of whether you’re brand new to AI or simply want to refine your approach.

If you have questions about this session, contact Anna Cunningham.
