Event Description

Are you thinking about how to encourage students to come to class ready to engage actively with the material, but wondering how to get started? Are you interested in incorporating more structured team learning into your teaching? Team-Based Learning (TBL) is a collaborative learning approach where students prepare to engage with course content before class and then spend class time working through application-based problems in teams. In this workshop, faculty participants will learn about the benefits of using the core TBL structure, while experiencing what it is like to be a student in a TBL classroom. Participants will also have the opportunity to brainstorm ways to incorporate the tenets of TBL into their own teaching.
