Event Description

This is a workshop in its truest sense: you’ll come in with an assignment that could use some work, and leave with a revised project that’s crystal-clear to students! TILT, Transparency in Teaching and Learning, is an assignment template that has been shown to improve student motivation, promote equitable outcomes–and reduce confusion which can lead to questions and complaints. After a brief introduction to the format and benefits of TILT, we’ll spend the rest of the time revising your assignment to have a clear purpose, transparent steps to complete it, and criteria for success. Important note: You’ll need to bring in an assignment to workshop, but you can use either one of your own or one you’ve seen in one of your classes, etc.
