Using AI as a Tool to Build Bridges for Neurodivergent Learners

Facilitator:

Dr. Natalie Monzyk, Assistant Director of Educational Technology

  • 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
  • Seigle Hall 304
  • In-person

Event Description

In this workshop, we’ll explore how instructors can use interactions with AI as a lens to: 1) Transform our thinking about the needs of neurodivergent learners, 2) Strengthen our instructional skill set, and 3) Improve experiences for all students. After reviewing an example of this process, participants will have the opportunity to use common AI tools to workshop one of their own assignments to be more accessible. Participants will leave with hands-on experience in designing clear, neurodivergent-friendly assignments that they can immediately implement in their own classrooms.

Note: This workshop will be facilitated in person on the Danforth Campus.
