The WashU Center for Teaching & Learning strives to recognize excellence in pedagogy. WashU's "Thank a Prof" program provides an opportunity for current students to send a thank you note to their instructors through the CTL.

Instructional staff and faculty often miss out on learning about the positive influence they have on their students. To ensure WashU educators understand the depth of their impact, the Center for Teaching and Learning launched the Thank a Prof program, encouraging students to show gratitude to those who have made extra efforts to support their education.
How it works:
- Fill out the form below any time or
- Stop by one of the CTL Thank a Prof stations across the Danforth Campus during the last full week of classes each April to write a handwritten note.
- CTL staff screens the messages to ensure they are messages of gratitude, then processes the notecards for delivery to the on-campus mailstop for the person being thanked.
- University mail services deliver the notes to their intended recipients after the academic year ends.
Thousands of notes have been sent to committed faculty and staff from appreciative learners in the years since the program’s start. This April, we hope you will join us in thanking educators who have positively impacted your academic career!
