STEM FIT Symposium on Teaching and Learning in STEM
The inaugural STEM FIT Symposium: Conversations on Teaching and Learning in STEM took place on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 9:00 am – 4:30 pm. At this regional symposium, STEM faculty discussed their recent pedagogical innovations and best practices in integrating evidence-based teaching in STEM.
The symposium began with a plenary by Mark McDaniel, PhD, Professor, Psychological & Brain Sciences, Washington University; co-Director of CIRCLE; and co-author of Make it Stick: The Science of Successful Learning. The plenary was followed by 50-minute talks and posters on a wide range of STEM teaching topics.
