Announcing Poll Everywhere at WashU
The Teaching Center is excited to announce the purchase of a multi-school sponsored license for the classroom response system, Poll Everywhere!
This web-based response system can be used to gather real-time responses from your students to a variety of question types including multiple choice questions, word clouds, and clickable images. Using wireless connectivity on a laptop or smartphone, students can respond via a web browser, an app, or even through SMS texting for certain question types. Poll Everywhere is a versatile tool for faculty in all disciplines who want to increase the frequency both of active learning and formative assessment opportunities during their teaching.
The Teaching Center will provide pedagogical support for any faculty member interested in learning more about how best to incorporate Poll Everywhere into their teaching through one-on-one consultations, online resources, and upcoming in-person events. Join us for a Lunch and Learn on Friday, September 13th from 12-1pm to experience this tool in action.
School-Level Support Contacts
Technical and administrative support for Poll Everywhere will be provided on a school by school basis, similar to the Canvas support structure. Visit The Teaching Center website to identify your contact person, request access to the Washington University license, and get started on developing polls for your classroom.
