Applications Open for Summer Institute on Inclusive Teaching
The Teaching Center is hosting the inaugural Inclusion and Diversity to Engage All: Faculty Institute on Teaching (IDEA FIT), which will take place May 25-26 on the Danforth Campus. The institute is open to full-time faculty from all schools at Washington University.
Designed to spur innovations that can improve the learning environment at Washington University—whether learning occurs in classrooms, laboratories, or studios, or in community-based courses or field-research, IDEA FIT will include two days of interactive workshops and working-group sessions focused on evidence-based teaching strategies that can foster inclusion.
The two-day institute offers Washington University faculty the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from across the disciplines to learn about research on inclusive teaching and learning, as well as to develop or refine course materials, assignments, and in-class activities that can improve the learning environment for all.
