Facilitator:

Dr. Meg Gregory, Associate Director for Faculty Programs

  • 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
  • Danforth Campus

Event Description

While the classroom can be a space for open, respectful dialogue, it can also feel isolating or even hostile for student learners. What can an instructor do to promote a space for positive, fruitful collaboration? What does it take to create a truly inclusive classroom climate? In this workshop, participants will discuss a series of interconnected factors that shape classroom climate. Participants will also have the opportunity to consider ways to repair a fractured classroom climate. Finally, we will examine strategies for developing a classroom culture in which students feel heard, welcomed, and valued.
