Event Description

On Your Mark, Get Set, Teach! is a 90-minute, hands-on workshop for new faculty teaching next week. Bring your syllabus draft and leave with four essentials: (1) a policy-checked, learner-focused syllabus ready to post; (2) a complete, timed plan for Day 1 with a student-engagement activity; (3) an overview of standard classroom technology; and (4) 3–5 concrete practices to create a welcoming, inclusive classroom climate right from the start. We’ll provide checklists, templates, and fast feedback in small groups. You’ll walk out ready for the first week of class—with materials you can use immediately.
