Event Description

For Postdocs Only: Offered in collaboration with the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs as part of The Faculty Job Search Series.

Increasingly candidates for academic positions are asked to prepare materials related to demonstrating their commitment to inclusion and diversity in the classroom. This workshop will explore different ways to reflect on, document and communicate a commitment to diversity and inclusion in job market materials. Participants will examine the purpose of a diversity statement, identify generic expectations and conventions and discuss strategies for demonstrating a commitment to diversity and inclusion in diversity statements and other frequently-requested job market materials.
