Faculty Fellow for Inclusive Pedagogies in the Office of the Provost: Position Open

The Office of the Provost is currently seeking a faculty fellow to partner with the Center for Teaching and Learning on Inclusive Pedagogies. The fellow will report jointly to the Vice Provosts for Educational Initiatives and Faculty Affairs and Diversity. The Fellow will develop models for increasing adoption of inclusive practices in learning spaces such as classrooms and research labs, based on efforts such as: reviewing existing opportunities for faculty and graduate students to build skill in inclusive pedagogies, reviewing data on student perceptions of inclusiveness in learning environments, evaluating peer institutions’ models for fostering inclusive classrooms/learning spaces, and identifying gaps in current practices. This assignment could begin as early as January 1, 2023 and is expected to conclude by June 30, 2023; it is possible that the term may be extended beyond this period. Applicants should have a background in inclusive pedagogies and have evidence of such (i.e., evaluations, professional development, etc.).

This assignment is open to full-time Danforth Campus faculty who are either tenured or are teaching faculty of any rank at Washington University. The successful applicant will be expected to devote approximately 10 hours per week to their work on projects sponsored by the Office of the Provost and the Center for Teaching and Learning and will receive supplemental compensation. Qualifications

Candidates are expected to have at least three years of full-time teaching experience, and be full-time faculty (all ranks, all tracks welcome) at Washington University in St. Louis.
