Free Access to Online Learning Consortium
The Center for Teaching and Learning continues to support WashU’s institutional membership in the Online Learning Consortium. Since 1999, the OLC has promoted quality online education, provided learning opportunities for faculty and instructional design professionals, and promoted research on innovative ways to engage students in an online environment. Membership benefits include access to free webinars, discounts on OLC conferences and events, member pricing of teaching certificate and mastery programs, and 20% discount on publications. In addition, membership provides access to the OLC’s suite of quality scorecard tools, which help determine strengths and weaknesses of online programs or courses and identify areas for improvement. Much of their recent work involves the transition to emergency remote teaching, and hybrid teaching models that incorporate both in-person and online elements.
To access your OLC Institutional Membership benefits:

- If you do not already have an account using your organizational email address, create a new account. Create a free user account.
- During the account creation process, you must choose “Allow” when asked to allow access.→ Allowing access is one OLC system asking you to allow that OLC system to share your information with other internal OLC systems. It is for OLC purposes ONLY.
- Once you create your account, you will be automatically logged in and also sent an email with a link to access your account.
- Once logged in, the system will now recognize you as a member and you can use your OLC Institutional member benefits.
