Hypothes.is Pilot Comes to WashU

The Center for Teaching and Learning is excited to announce that this fall we will be hosting a pilot program for Hypothes.is, an EdTech tool that integrates with Canvas and enables users to place a conversational layer over an entire webpage, allowing for unique collaborative, interactive engagement with the text that students have been assigned to read. The tool enables sentence-level annotation, notetaking, and critique on top of any assigned content available on a website. Using this tool, students can annotate course readings collaboratively, share comments, and reply to each other’s ideas.

All interested faculty and instructors are invited to participate in an informational session on Wednesday, August 12 from 2:30 – 3:30pm to learn more about various uses for this tool and to try it out for themselves! Pre-registration for this event is required. Please contact Dr. Meg Gregory, Assistant Director, Educational Development, CTL at meggregory@wustl.edu with questions about this event or about how to sign up for the pilot program.
