If you receive an error referencing Cookies when you try to view Kaltura My Media or Kaltura Media Gallery in Canvas, you will need to unblock Kaltura in your browser.  This is done in different ways depending on the web browser you are using.

Apple Safari
Google Chrome
Mozilla Firefox
Microsoft Edge
I am receiving a different error

 

Apple Safari:

  • Click on the Safari menu
  • Click Preferences
  • Click on the Privacy tab
  • Uncheck Prevent cross-site tracking
  • Attempt to view Kaltura again

 

Google Chrome:

  • Click on the three-dot Customize and control Google Chrome menu at the very right of the browser window
  • Click Settings
  • Click Security and Privacy
  • Click Cookies and other site data
    • If Block third-party cookies is selected, change the setting to Block third-party cookies in Incognito
    • Scroll down if necessary, and click the Add button next to Sites that can always use cookies
    • Copy and paste this URL: https://2480991.kaf.kaltura.com/, then click Add
  • Close out of the Settings tab and attempt to view Kaltura again

 

Mozilla Firefox:

  • Copy and paste this URL into the search bar: https://2480991.kaf.kaltura.com/
  • Click on the Shield icon to the left of the address
  • Uncheck Enhanced tracking protection is on for this site
  • Attempt to view Kaltura again

 

Microsoft Edge:

  • Click on the three-dot Settings and more menu at the very right of the browser window
  • Click Settings
  • Select Cookies and site permissions, on the left side of the window
  • Click Manage and delete cookies and site data
    • If Block third-party cookies is enabled, disable this setting
    • Click the Add button to the right of Allow
    • Copy and paste this URL: https://2480991.kaf.kaltura.com/, then click Add
  • Close out of the Settings tab and attempt to view Kaltura again
