Getting Started

Note on Auditoriums: The following rooms have not been updated yet, and are slated to be updated to the new touch panel design in Summer 2024- Brown 100, Busch 100, Crow 201, Crow 204, Crow 206, Eads 16, Hillman 60, Hillman 70, January 110, Louderman 458, McDonnell 162, McMillan G052, Seigle L006, Simon 1, Steinberg 105, Wilson 214, Wrighton 300

When you first walk into your classroom, you will be met with the start page. To begin, simply touch the screen:

 

Displaying a Source

If you’re using a dual-display room, click here.

To select a source to be displayed on the screens, just press on your desired source. The selected source will then turn blue:

  • ROOM PC: Displays computer on instructor’s desk
  • Laptop HDMI: Displays device connected to the HDMI cable on instructor’s desk
  • Laptop USB-C: Displays device connected to the USB-C cable on instructor’s desk
  • Laptop Wireless: Displays wireless presentation powered by AirMedia (if equipped). Instructions will appear on display screen on how to connect
  • Document Camera: Displays live video feed from document camera (if equipped)
  • Blu-Ray: Displays content from Blu-Ray discs or DVDs in Blu-Ray player (if equipped)

Note: Depending on which room you’re in, you will have different source selections.

You can also momentarily hide the display by pressing the “Hide Projector” button:

To undo this action, press the “Show Projector” button:

 

Controlling Sound

To control the volume of the room speakers, press the “Volume +” or “Volume -” buttons:

To mute sound from the speakers, press the “Mute” button:

 

Controlling Microphones

If you’re in a room that has microphones, you will see a “Mic Volume” icon. Press on the icon and then press the volume arrows to change the mic volume:

To mute sound from the microphones, press the “Mic Mute” button:

 

Controlling Lights

If you’re in a room that has light controls, you will see a “Lights” icon. Press on the icon and then select your preferred light setting:

 

Controlling Shades

If you’re in a room that has shade controls, you will see a “Shades” icon. Press on the icon and then press the up and down arrows to control the shades:

 

Controlling Projection Screens

Press the “Screen” icon and use the up and down arrows to control the screens in the room:

Press the “Help” icon for information on how to get immediate support:

 

Shutting System Down

Once you’re done using the room, you can shut the system down by pressing the “Power” icon and then selecting the yes option:

Note: If the touch panel is not interacted with for 3 hours, the system will automatically shut down. The touch panel will pop up a warning with a countdown timer as the 3 hour mark approaches.  You can cancel the automatic shut down by simply touching the screen.

Dual-Display Rooms

Some of our rooms have a dual-display feature where you have more than one screen available.

To select different sources for each screen, press the desired source for each screen. The selected sources will turn blue:

You can only play sound from one of the sources at a time. To select which source sound you’d like played, press the musical note button respective to the source:

To display the same source for all screens, press the “Link Displays” button and select the desired source:

You can undo that action by pressing the “Unlink Displays” button:
