Upcoming Talks on Reproducibility in Scholarly Communication
On Wednesday, March 22, University of Virginia psychologist Brian Nosek will give a talk entitled “Improving Openness and Reproducibility in Scholarly Communication.” In order to safeguard the integrity of and public trust in scientific research, Nosek is working through his nonprofit, the Center for Open Science (COS), to shift academic culture to open access, open data, and open workflow. The talk will take place from 12:00 pm-1 pm in Knight Hall, Emerson Auditorium.
In addition, Nosek will give a seminar talk at the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at 3:00 p.m. on Tues., March 21 in the Psychology Building, Room 216. The seminar is primarily for individuals working in psychological science and related fields, but is open to all who want to learn more about how academic research is being vetted by the research community.
