WashU National First Generation College Graduation Celebration

Washington University in St. Louis is hosting its own National First Generation College Graduation Celebration this week. Events are open to students, faculty and staff. You can learn more about the events and RSVP here.

In 2017, the Council for Opportunity in Education (COE) and the Center for First-generation Student Success launched the inaugural First-Generation College Celebration. The COE and the Center now partner to make this celebration an annual event. They encourage colleges and universities to celebrate the success of first-generation college students, faculty, and staff on their campus in any and every way possible. Participating colleges and universities can tag @COEtalk and @FirstgenCenter, and use the #CelebrateFirstGen to participate in the conversation on social media.
